Шановна українська громадо Австралії!

​

Щиро вітаю Вас із найважливішим із державних свят - Днем незалежності України!

Важко переоцінити роль закордонної української громади у боротьбі, відновленні і збереженні Української держави.

На жаль у 25 річницю своєї незалежності Україна змушена відвойовувати своє право на незалежність, обороняючи власні землі, відстоюючи права та свободи своїх громадян.

Тому у День головного свята нашої країни щиро дякую усім, хто вкладав і вкладає в Україну свою віру і працю, хто захищає і допомагає боронити і її від ворога, хто примножує її багатства і славу.

Будь-яка держава, а особливо молода, потребує віри і підтримки як свого народу, так і світової спільноти, тому я закликаю усіх українців Австралії до єднання та спільної праці на благо України.

Будьте  успішними і цінними для Австралії, бо коли вами дорожитимуть, то прислухатимуться до вас і так ви зможете помогти  Україні

Активно взаємодійте з депутатами, яких ви обрали до австралійського парламенту, де дуже часто розглядаються питання підтримки України.

Не соромтеся бути українцями. Підтримуйте один одного  – ходіть на заходи своїх громад, розмовляйте українською, вчіть своїх дітей.

Головне любіть свою історичну Батьківщину, свої рідні землі. Говоріть про неї добре. Погане про нас скажуть вороги, будьмо хоч ми друзями своїй державі.

Сьогодні Україна у русі до змін. Сьогодні Україна – держава із сформованою нацією. Сьогодні Україна – країна молодого покоління, яке готове взяти життя під власний контроль.

Тому я вірю, що Україна переможе.  За нами правда. З нами Бог! З нами українська громада!

Statement by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia

Dr. Mykola Kulinich to the Ukrainian community in Australia to mark the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine

 

Dear Ukrainian community in Australia!

​

I sincerely congratulate you on the most important national holiday - the Independence Day of Ukraine!

 

The role of the international Ukrainian diaspora in the struggle to restore and preserve the Ukrainian state cannot be over-estimated.

 

It is unbelievable that Ukraine must fight for its right to independence and sovereignty, defending its territory and defending the rights and freedom of its citizens on this, the 25th anniversary of independence.

 

Therefore, on this most important Ukrainian day, I sincerely thank all those who have invested and continue to invest in Ukraine with their faith and effort, those who protect and help to defend Ukraine from the enemy, and those who work to increase Ukraine's prosperity and renown.

 

Any nation, especially a young one, needs the faith and support of both its residents and the international community, therefore I urge all Ukrainian Australians to unite and work together for the prosperity of Ukraine. Be successful and worthy Australians because when you are appreciated in good repute, you will be good ambassadors for Ukraine. Actively cooperate with the politicians whom you elected to the Australian Parliament, who often address questions regarding support for Ukraine.

 

Be proud to be Ukrainian. Support one another - go to events organised by your state communities, speak to one another in Ukrainian, teach your children about Ukrainian language and culture.

 

Most importantly, love your original, as well as your adopted, homeland. Speak positively about Ukraine. Our enemies will speak ill of us but we need to be supportive of our Ukraine.

 

Today in Ukraine there is a movement for change. Today Ukraine stands as a united nation. Today Ukraine is a country with a younger generation who are ready to take control of their own lives.

This why I believe that Ukraine will overcome. Truth is on our side! God is with us! The Ukrainian diaspora is with us!
