Всечесниші Oтці  Шановна громадо!   Дорогі співвітчизники!

​

Хочу розділити з вами радісні і хвилюючі почуття пов’язані з святковою  подією - 25 річницею Незалежності України і привітати з цим cвятом Українську громаду Західної Австралії! 

​

Незалежна держава Україна за минулий, драматичний рік зросла і зміцніла, стала провідником свободи і захисту європейских цінностей, а також у розгромі тероризму в світі, що викликає почуття неперевершеної гордості за її героїв і незламний народ в становленні нового реформованого життя на теренах України.

​

Весь світ є свідками тогоб яку ціну заплатив  народ України за свою Незажність і Свободу. І сьогодні в час неоголошеної війни проти України продовжують, майже щоденно, гинут кращі її сини на сході України !

​

Тому прошу вшанувати хвилиною мовчання пам’ять всіх Героїв  України у всі часи , що віддали своє життя за її Незалежність і Суверинітет. 

​

Що таке Незалежність? Незалежність це не тільки слово. Незалежність є СВОБОДА, а з нею приходять людяність і гідність.

Ті з вас, хто були у Києві, безумовно, бачили золоту статую святого Михаїла Архистратига  який височить в небі над Майданом і споглядає на площу де розгорталися помаранчова революція а пізніше і революція гідності.

Дух Майдану і Свободи пронизує сьогоденне  суспільство, яке прагне відійти від старих способів життя, корумпованих і кримінальних практик, набути нових підходів в вирішенні сучасних викликів і побудови сучасних відносин. Разом з тим національне самоусвідомлення і відповідальність за майбутнє крайни набули доленосного значення в сучасних подіях що відбуваються в Україні.

За останній час Україна стала відомою майже у всіх куточках світу, її символи – жовто блакитний прапор і тризуб - впізнаванними всюди. У неї стало більше друзів і прихильників на світовій арені, і першої серед них є наша Австралія.

​

Сьогодні ми приєднуємося до мільйонів громадян Україні, а також патріотів  поза її межами, щоб на мить зупинитись та осягнути думкою ті всі події, які мали місце за останні 25 років Незалежності України і те що загрожує її свободі і дещо всьому вільному світові сьогодні.

Вітаю всю громаду -  особливо  друзів і родних в Україні з цими словами:

Незалежність означає здатність жити вільно в душі, в розуму і в тілі.

Незалежність є скарбом, який потрібно захищати, розвивати і плекати.

Незалежність це більше, ніж слово.   Незалежність це свобода і гідне життя!

Нехай Господь благословить Український народ

і нашу неньку Україну з вільним світом та надай мужністі, сили та рішучості!

З Днем Незалежності!       Слава Українському народу!       Україні – Слава!

Dear Ukrainian community of WA! Dear compatriots!

I greet you, on this most auspicious occasion, the 25th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine

The independent state of Ukraine in the past, dramatic year has matured and became a leader of freedom in the protection of European values and in defeating terrorism in the world, there is a feeling of incomparable pride for Ukraine’s heroes and invincibility as a nation bringing in a new reformed life.

The whole world is witness to the price paid by the people of Ukraine for their independence and freedom. Today, as the undeclared war against Ukraine continues her brave sons are dying in eastern Ukraine!

Therefore, I request a minute of silence to honor the memory of Heroes of Ukraine, who gave their lives for Ukraine’s for her continued independence and sovereignty. 

What is Independence?  Independence is more than a word.   Independence is freedom,humanity and dignity!

Those of you who have visited Kyiv, have seen the gold statue of St. Michael the Archangel, which looks over Independence Square. (Maidan Nezalozhnosti) where the Orange Revolution and later the Revolution of Dignity were held.

The spirit of the Revolution of Dignity permeates today’s society and moves away from the old way of life, the corrupt and criminal practice, acquiring new approaches to solving modern challenges. The combined national self-awareness and responsibility for the future of Ukraine has become intertwined in the current events taking place.

Ukraine has become well known in all parts of the world and her yellow and blue flag and tryzub is recognizable everywhere. She has many friends and supporters on the world stage and first among them is our Australia.

Today we join with the millions of citizens of Ukraine, and all patriots in the diaspora to stop for a moment and think about all the events that led to the independence of Ukraine and the  things which still threatens liberty and freedom.

I greet all the Ukrainian community of WA, my friends and also my family and friends in Ukraine with these words:

Independence means the ability to live freely in soul, mind and body.

Independence is a treasure that must be protected, developed and nurtured.

Independence is more than a word.   Independence is freedom.

St. Archangel Michael protect our nation and protect Ukraine!  

God bless our Ukrainian nation and our motherland Ukraine - 

give her people the courage, strength and determination to live in freedom and peace.
